My mum has had this unit for 6 months and been today to get half her furniture out only to find the lift not working , I’ve phoned numerous times they’ve said nothing they can do today and a lift is an added benefit , I don’t know how your expected to get the furniture from a 3 bedrooms house down 4 flights of stairs , don’t use this storage company if you’re moving house! We leased out a unit online and when we arrived the unit was taken. We called and the company moved us to another unit. All good. However we found the unit to big so the company moved us to half the size. However, when calling to find out why we are getting contacts for a unit already leased and a unit we moved out off..became a problem. The company didn't seem to have any idea that we had moved to a smaller unit... Did not know the number off the unit we had moved to... The last contact we had was from a lady at the company explaining we had to tell them where we had moved to....? It's quiet distressing to find a company that has no idea about anything...? Great service from Neil, Tegan, Aiden and all the team at the Bridgwater branch. I’d never used Self Store before, and was moving to the area from quite far, so was somewhat nervous of the process. But the team were just excellent; they set my mind at rest with clear explanations of the process, and by patiently and politely answering my other questions. And the facility was spotless. Uk Storage was there for me just when I needed it. Moving house can be stressful enough, but by putting things in storage a few weeks ahead it made things so much easier. The day I booked the storage unit online it was made available to me within an hour. Excellent service, with no fuss. Closing down the unit was just as easy, I phoned the customer service and they took care of it all for me. Aiden was very helpful and friendly on the phone and made it very simple. Excellent storage facilitiy. Clean and tidy. Easy in and out when you want too. There are lights there for visits in the dark but some were not working and where our unit was there wasn't any. But we managed with the car headlights. Very helpful on the phone with all the information you need and a great price for the month we needed the unit for. Thank You. Highly recommend. Read Less

Getting in was simple and straightforward. It was the billing and getting out that let me down. I had to email them because they charged me wrongly during the first few weeks of using the unit. When they didn't get back to me, I chased them up. Originally they said they sent an email of the price breakdown, and so i kindly asked them to resend it only for them to later say 'Sorry we meant we sent a text message' I had relocated abroad.... All the whilst they still haven't answered my initial questions. Managed to squeeze an answer out but poor CS. Finally once i moved out of the unit i went to go do a final check...only for the key to snap inside the lock.... Read Less

I needed a container for a few months, UK storage were the most competitive due to their 50% discount they have going, I was really surprised how simple setting up my account and how fast I could move in! They supplied me with a free padlock and a security code to enter the compound which really made me feel the place was secure and safe. When I called to tell them I was moving out, the process was again ,simple and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Read Less

Average storage type facility + its central if u need it but do have others in plymouth. Could be cheaper. Self storage. Key pad set up in accordance with contract you have so access related time wise to this. Admin isn’t local so issues around access problems to individual units. Unless you argue the toss they fob you off with excuses. I couldn’t open lock and they weren’t that interested saying locksmith would be a couple of days, maintenance man also wouldn’t be onsite for a couple of days. There’s a store unit which they said there’d be some wd40 but there wasn’t. After telling them my disdain they would get a locksmith later that day. Again not satisfactory. In the end I sorted it myself. Re admin sometimes not the most efficient or knowledgeable but they are in Taunton?!! Award wise more like 55% so a bit generous giving 3/5. Cost wise there are cheaper. Maybe sucked in by initial offer and fact building work wasn’t expected to over run so long. Other issues to consider is drainage isn’t fantastic at times and effects of wind can cause packages to fall over. So units exposed compared to those within a dedicated building. Usual issue do your research and see costings/ location benefits/ limitations. Have seen better and worse options but better the devil you know and location pretty good for me Read Less

Locks didn’t work overpriced and wouldn’t accept my 2 weeks notice and kept charging me for money I did not owe… do not use this company it’s terrible any issues and no one is on site use armadillo storage instead much better outfit Read Less

I was helped by a maintenance man on site on Tuesday 15th Jan as my lock had broke the day very before the key had snapped inside lock I was told by the office the day before I would need to call out an emergency locksmith at a cost of £90 and buy a new barrel I came back the next day and saw the man (forgot his name ) but he was great and sorted the problem straight away put a new barrel on and gave me a more secure lock that did not require keys problem sorted immediately Thank you very much Man from Bridgewater on Tuesday 15th January who was on site about 10.30 am 👍 Read Less

We stored our items with UK Storage for 15 months popping by from time to time to keep an eye on things. Access to site was via our own gate code and we had our own lockable keylock on our unit. Overall site seemed reasonable secure however they could of done with a few more cctv camera's to increase the security onsite. The Unit's were clean and heated for colder weather, although we saw no evidence of the heaters working during our visits. We had a few problems with charges being increased despite a promise of a 12 month freeze and an issue with a refund at the end. However these issues were finally sorted by several emails either side an in a courteous way which concluded my queries amicably. Overall not a perfect experience hence the four stars but a company that I would recommend for storing your items. Read Less

Needed storage when I sold up and moved into rental while renovating the family home. UK Storage provided a first rate service over the 18 months I was with them. The units were safe secure and easy to access while the staff were always helpful and polite. Highly recommended. Read Less

An amazingly easy process to book, flexible on their timings and sizes and great customer service throughout. The lockup was extremely clean and totally weather proof. I was cheeky enough to ask for a small discount via ‘Blue Lights’ card and was successful.
